Almost to Busy For Words

This past 5 days between homework and house responsibilities I have been slammed!
Today is my baking day for the Fundraiser my friend and I are putting on for my Brother in laws kidney transplant. It will be Friday for 4 hours at the local coffee shop. I made rice krispie bars and peanut butter cup cookies. She is making some other goodies to go along with what I have made. This is just a taste of what we are doing for the big Bazaar in November. We have 10 other ladies helping with that. Gift in a jar, baked goods and what ever anyone else wants to put on our table.

My friend is trying to raise money for her son to go to Australia through the people to people program. My nephew did this and had a wonderful learning experience.
Well she has some very cool fundraisers going on. She is selling 2010 canlendars called "God Creations for $7. I got 3 for Christmas gifts.

Weekend Re-cap

Friday my son did not have school, end of the first quarter. Man that quarter went fast and he did pretty good with his grades. I went and picked up his girlfriend and they spent the day together watching movies and working on his dirt dike. I worked on homework all day, I had 3 essays to write and a chapter to read in a book and write a response to that. Then Friday night I took them to the Kenai River Brown Bear Hockey game. Came back home and worked on more homework. Jade's Mom was kind enough to pick them up after the game and bring them home.

Saturday my hubby and I went and got stud's put on my car and bought a dog house for Rikki. Then came home and I did more homework. About 2:30 we went and picked up my car from the tire store and went off to get the guys their hair cut. I picked up Jade on the way and she went with us for hair cuts. Then after that ran off to Kenai to drop the kids off at the movie. Then back home for more homework. Ahhhh finally finished up those assignments. After the movie Jades Mom picked them up and took them to a friends birthday party, while I relaxed.

Sunday I took it slow in the morning then early afternoon we went to our daughter's house for dinner. We spent the afternoon early evening there and had a nice visit. My granddaughters sat on my lap and told me how to sound out words and spell a few too. They are in Kindergarten and first grade. it's always nice to hear kids learning new things and be excited about it.

Oh and then I came home and got on the computer to find out that I won 3 yes 3 books from a dear bloggy friends giveaway. Alexis from running away? I'll help you pack! has some great giveaways and really you should check them out. I can't believe that random.org picked me 3 times. I'm a lucky camper in that department.

Well that about covers my weekend, now on to the beginning of a new busy week.

Random Tuesday Thoughts

My first thought this morning when waking up was why can't this be Friday already. I'm so tired and want to sleep in. I'm not sure what is going on with me but I feel like I can't get enough sleep lately.

I got my tailbone adjusted yesterday by the chiropractor and it was feeling better, but now today it is back to hurting. I will have to take a pillow to school with me today to help with sitting there in a hard chair all day.

Our weather has been seasonable warm and wet so far, usually by now we have had some snow, but not yet. But hey who's rushing it.......LOL

Thursday marks mid-term at school and geesh it seems to be going by fast this term. I just might take 3 classes next term. I have stuck to taking 2 classes a term since I went back to school and I think I'm ready to throw in a third.

I got our tickets bought for our Christmas travel and I'm counting down the days until we leave. I'm looking forward to being gone for 2 weeks other than Hubby can't go with us. It will be weird to be away from him for 2 weeks and not together for Christmas. I'm sure we will survive.

Weekend Recap and Monday Blahs

Friday Night I went with a friend out to dinner and to see the play in town called Steel Magnolias. It was a great time to sit with a friend and enjoy a meal, then head to the play. The actress's in this play did an amazing job. I really enjoyed my time out.

Saturday I meant to do homework but my head just was not into it. I have been running ragged with school and fundraising for my brother in laws kidney stuff. So I forced myself to stop, drop and watch a movie. I watched In Pursuit of Happiness. That was a great movie with tears involved.

Sunday I woke up with my tailbone hurting like I have been kicked hard in the tush. I don't know what happened there because I have not hurt myself nor has anyone kicked me. So all day I switched between cheek to cheek.

Now this morning my tailbone hurts so bad it is hard to sit in any position. Plus if I cough or sneeze it sends me into a whole other world of pain. I have called the chiropractor for an appointment to see if she can help me, as I have back problems to begin with. If she can't help I guess I will have to find another doc to visit as I can't hardly handle this. On top of being in pain I have to finish the little bit of homework I have because It's back to school for me tomorrow.


On a bright note, I got my son's homecoming pictures back, and thought I would share with you.

Grandma Your'e So Beautiful

Yesterday my Daughter and Granddaughters came over for a family dinner. The Grand kids wanted to color and Miss E colored this picture of me she said " Grandma this is a picture of you, you are so beautiful". That made my heart warm like butter and I thought I should show you just how beautiful I am.
