Alicia from more than words hosts every Friday a flash back photo. It's for us to check out every one's favorite photo's from the past(you know pre-digital). It's tons of fun looking at every ones pictures so join us by linking up on Mr. Linky over at Alicia's.
This is back in 1995, when I took a trip back to Iowa to see my family. I left Iowa when I was 11 and moved to Oregon. This is my all time favorite Uncle Bill and I. I have fond memories of Uncle Bill. I spent a lot of time at my Aunt and Uncles When I was little. He taught me how to spit, shift a truck and whistle. Going back to see family after all those years was so much fun! I quickly reminded Uncle Bill of all the fond memories I had of these things, all he could do is laugh and hold on tight to those memories too.

Uncle Bill sounds great.
What precious memories! Don't you just love FF? It's fun taking a trip down memory lane.
Have a great weekend!!
I had to laugh at the thought of your Uncle Bill teaching you to spit! :)
You must be an adventurer, living in Alaska. My hubby and I have Alaska on our list of places to one day visit.
So cute! Do you still spit and can you still shift a truck?!? :-)
Iowa sounds like Wisconsin...
How amazing Robyn...it really is a small world. IA is where we have called home for the last 5 years.
Thanks for sharing this picture and your Uncle Bill with us. Sounds like a great Uncle.
What a great picture and I just adore the memories that you have to go with your awesome Uncle Bill!

Never did learn to whistle well, but shifting a truck and spitting are darned valuable skills! Love the picture...he was obviously smitten with you.
Hahaha, reading the "spit" made me remember of the movie "Titanic" lol. Great memories Robyn!
I am too late for this but still catching up.
Please check out the Music in Me when you have time.
Fun memories! I was close to my aunts and uncles growing up too!
You crack me up about Uncle Bill teaching you how to spit! Must be so much fun recalling those fond memories!

I would like to thank you for dropping by my entry...
here is an updated pic of us from our reunion
I found your blog through Darcie...
I have to admit I mostly clicked on it because of the name!
We lived in Anchorage a long time ago....a brief but wonderful chapter in this book we are calling 'our life'.
The year was 1983. We stayed for just 2 1/2 years, but a lot happened including the birth of our first baby! Then we moved back to the lower 48 and lived in AZ, NV and finally settled back where we started: The heartland of NE.
So....someday, who knows we may come back for a visit. In the mean time can I just pop in here and say hi now and then?
