Doggie Love

This poochie comes and visits my house every day. He is a bright spot in my days. Sometimes when I get home from work he is here and greets me at the car when I pull up. I'm not sure who's dog it is but I have become very fond of him.

Since he is here often I have come to name him Jake. He comes by that name while here, and knows my house rules. He stays out of the kitchen, sits and lays down when told.

When I tell him to come to Mama, he heads right over for some love. I know he is not a stray doggy because he looks so well taken care of. He has a collar but no name of his owners on it.

There are days I want to put a note on him and tell whoever that I Love their dog and Thanks for sharing him with me.

If I had my way he would stay here and be my dog, but I can't just take him away with out asking first. I Love dogs and especially him. He is such a good boy!

Football Pride!

My youngest boy Chad had a 3 week football camp This month, they practiced every night and had a couple games. I Love to watch kids play sports and I'm the crazy Mom you see running the sidelines right along with the team.



He did such a good job and makes me proud!

Hey # 25 look here!

He played center in the games so he gets the duty of hiking the ball.

Now before long he will be playing high school ball and I won't miss any game for the world. I'll be running right along with them on the side lines!

I love this theme this week! I wanted to get more amazing pictures of lakes and such but had to work, and the weather turned to rain. Plus I have a horrid backache. Waaaaa I know such a complainer!

Dance, Dance The Night Away

My little Granddaughter had her first dance recital last night, so after work I had to run home change and run for the recital. Wouldn't have missed it for anything.
I was a little disappointed that they would not let you take pictures of the kids dancing, so had to wait until after to take pictures. I guess everyone would have been in front row taking millions of pictures interrupting the performers and that would have been disruptive. There is a video for sale so this Grandma will have to buy one.

By this time she was chilly and wanted grandma to keep her warm.

What a perfect night of watching dancers and tears as I watched my granddaughter strut her stuff. She is signed up for more dance classes and that means more dance watching for Grandma. Just have to love it!

Where Oh Where Might I Be

Wow last week I landed a job working 4 days a week. I work Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Thankfully I go to work on Sunday's after church so I don't have to miss service, which is a Blessing to me. Having a job now and trying to get some order in my life has been a challenge though. School has ended for my son for the summer, and now it's time to find a new medium for me. I have missed some emails that needed my attention and have also been asked if I am mad at a few blog friends, the answer is no not mad, takes me tons and tons to be mad at someone, just out there trying to get a grip on life and new paths I have to to take. Please be patient with me while I find this balance and start going for it.
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend, and as for me I hope the restaurant is busy busy and I want to make big bucks in tips.

Friday Shoot-Out~~~Paint The Town Red

This weeks Shoot -out is titled "Paint The Town Red", subject chosen by Gordon. I Love the subject title I just didn't have much time to prep for this since I just began working again. So very few pictures this week. Hopefully next week I will be more organized!

Tuesday Randomness

I'm feeling a bit better this week so far, I know the week just started but I feel a great relief already.

Yesterday I got a call from an old restaurant that I use to work at, wanting me to come back to work. I have been looking for a job and this works out perfect. Yesterday was my first day, I worked 5 hours and it felt like old home week. now I will be busy serving food 4 days a week. making cash everyday, woot woot!

Today my baby graduates from 8th grade, so I will go watch the ceremonies and congratulate him for his success.

I have a couple pictures for the Friday shoot out but need to find more, something interesting!

My Granddaughter Scooter 2 has a dance recital Saturday evening and I'm so excited to go and see her preform.

I have been down to the Kenai River looking it over impatiently waiting for the salmon run. Still got about a month to wait, come on salmon, get on up in the river!

Oh and my Daughter in Washington is having her baby on June 22nd, and it's a girl. No names picked out yet they better hurry!

Not Me Monday

OK I was not me who was in a complete bad moody all week last week. Nothing seemed to go right for me!

It is not me who drove all over town trying to get the right pictures for my Friday shoot-out, and didn't have a great time doing it.

It is not me who wears my carpi's even on chilly days just because it's summer time.

It was totally not me who had a brown bear in my yard a couple night ago and slept right through it. Hubby didn't tell me all about it.

It is not me who is racking my brain with this weeks shoot out subject, called paint the town red.Hmmmmm wonder what my camera will shoot for this one?

Oh No not me plans on having a better week!

And I'm not telling everyone to have a great week!

Friday Shoot-Out~~ Transportation

This week I had great fun going around looking for ways people get around up here besides their cars. There are a few past pictures included in here to show you we use all kinds of methods even in the winter. Our topic this week was chosen by science girl, so you might want to go take a look at her pictures. This is great fun and glad I joined the gang!


Yes planes are a huge deal around here. You can hop on one and they will take you sight seeing and even off to a remote place fishing. This bottom picture is of an air company called Talon, and they are a great way to get away and go fishing in a hot spot!

Snow machines as we call them are huge here in the winter time, people go crazy on them and ride everywhere, you just can't ride them through town. This picture is my friend and her new hubby.

Oh yeah and dog sledding, I love to see people with dogs like this and off they go to who knows where!

I'm sure everyone has one of these roaming around their town, the old school bus. My son calls them cheese wagons, I guess because they are yellow..........LOL

Cab, cab anyone call a cab.

This bus takes all the elderly to the store and out for current events. I'm so thankful for them, makes me happy to see a service like this to the community.

I couldn't help but add this picture in here. This is Pastor Nash, he is the pastor of my church, on his off days of not teaching us the word he is out delivering Dryers Ice cream. He is a great guy with a huge heart !

Ahhhhhhhh in my travels I ran into Sugamama's oldest son and made him stop for a picture. I just Love this kid!

These kids and adults were walking back to the school after a field trip. On nice days and not so far away places they always walk to and from their field trips.

This was taken Mother's day when my Daughter and Granddaughter took me out to lunch. This is Scooter 2 with me, and I just love her huge smile! Ya can't tell she loves her Grandma huh!..LOL

This is my silly husband! I couldn't get my camera to work last Thursday on our way to Homer and he took it from me while driving and shot this picture of himself, just to prove to me that it worked just fine!

Today I'll Go Random

I have not been in the best of moods for a few days now, not really sure what my problem is. Feeling a little better this morning.

I had a beautiful Mother's day with my daughter Rachel and Granddaughter, they took me out to lunch after church. I did hear from 4 out of 5 kids for Mother's day.

I have been looking for a job and not having much luck yet. I hope to find something soon.

Yesterday we went for a walk by the lake and I forgot my camera, silly me!

Been thinking about the Friday shoot out and need to get on that!

Hubby is driving me bonkers, he is still off work! Last July he had a bad fall off a horse and broke his arm bone off the ball of his shoulder and had to have it put back together with a plate and screws. The doc has finally released him to go back to work, and he has made calls but no work available just yet.

Friday night is Chad's last football game for this camp he is doing, Looking forward to that. I Love Football!

Saturday I have scooter 2 coming for some Grandma time while her Mommy takes a class for work.

I'm getting restless for fishing and will need to get the pole in the water soon! Just got a fishing reg. book and it says I can't get trout out of the river water yet. :-(

We are starting to get leaves on our trees and that excites me. I see green sneaking up in the yard and along the hwy.

Thank you kids for being in my life, showing me love and all the excitement of being a Mommy, it wasn't always easy raising all of you but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

The girls all have kids of their own now and I just want to wish them Happy Mother's day .
